Keep Your Kitty’s Microchip Information Up-to-date for FREE with Found.org!!

We just learned of a website to update any pet’s microchip info for free: Found.org from the Found Animals Registry!

Many pet owners do not realize “AVID”, “24PetWatch”, “HomeAgain” and other ‘lost pet recovery’ services require payment before allowing owners to update our contact information! At Better Kitty we believe this is an unnecessary roadblock to your pets’ safe homecoming.

But with Found.org, money is never a barrier to updating an existing microchip or even to registering a new one! There is no cost to use this website, and the microchips can be any type or brand from any company. The website has other resources on how to find a missing pet. (We recently registered all four of our staffs' cats on Found.org. It was a simple, quick process.)

Remember: the microchip (actually an RFID tag) is useless if your contact information is not correct. Microchipping a pet is only half of the solution. Without the other half, accurate info, your missing pet will not come home. It’s that simple.

Some wrongly believe the microchip is similar to ‘Bluetooth’ or ‘low-jack’ technology. Nope! Your missing pet’s microchip cannot be tracked or followed using some electronic device. Instead, think of a ‘chip as an identification tag which cannot be lost or removed.

It is the responsibility of every pet’s owner to keep their microchip data accurate. But it is the microchip supplier’s responsibility to keep their update process as easy as possible. Where others have failed, Found.org has stepped in. Thanks to the Found Animals Registry and the Michelson Found Animals Foundation!
